Our Services

It all begins with an idea. Outlined is the typical journey we undertake to transform a concept design into a beautiful, built project. This process is collaborative and ensures every detail is meticulously handled.

Dream it.

  • Initial Briefing: We begin with an in-depth discussion to understand your vision, requirements, lifestyle, budget, and aspirations for the project.

  • Site Analysis: A thorough assessment of the site, including its context, orientation, views, existing features, and any planning constraints.

  • Refining the Concept: Based on your feedback, we evolve the concept into a more detailed design, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and material palettes.

  • Planning Application: Preparing and submitting all necessary drawings, reports (e.g., Design and Access Statement), and forms to the local planning authority for formal approval. This stage can be lengthy and may involve negotiations with planning and conservation officers.

Develop it.

  • Detailed Design: Once planning permission is secured, we develop the design further, producing comprehensive technical drawings that detail every aspect of the building's construction. This includes structural elements, services (plumbing, electrical), and specific material junctions.

  • Consultant Coordination: Collaborating closely with other consultants, such as structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and landscape designers, to integrate their designs.

  • Building Regulations Application: Submitting detailed plans and specifications to the local authority's building control department (or an approved inspector) to ensure compliance with all statutory building regulations.

  • Tender Documentation: Preparing a detailed set of tender documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules, which contractors will use to price the project.

  • Tender Process: Inviting suitable contractors to bid for the work, answering their queries, and evaluating their submissions.

  • Contractor Appointment: Assisting you in selecting the most appropriate contractor and preparing the building contract.

Build it.

  • On-Site Supervision: Regular site visits to monitor progress, quality of work, and ensure the build adheres to the design and specifications.

  • Contract Administration: Managing the building contract, including certifying payments to the contractor, issuing instructions, and dealing with any variations or unforeseen issues.

  • Problem Solving: Acting as your representative, we address any challenges that arise during construction, finding practical and effective solutions.

  • Practical Completion: Carrying out a final inspection to identify any defects or unfinished work before the project is formally handed over.
